Chamber Choir is a course designed to challenge singers of higher levels. Singers study intermediate and advanced levels of music theory, solfege, music history, sight-singing, and vocal techniques. It is an auditioned choir in grades 9-12.
Auditions are determined yearly by the instructor which includes the following criteria
- growth as an independent singer
- attendance
- eligibility
Characteristics of a member of the Chamber Choir
- independent singer - a student should be able to carry their own part and/or show growth
- open to feedback - a student can give and receive constructive critiques
The size of this choir is dependent on a balance between the 4 sections - Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass.
